The second year in a row Cincinnati received recognition as one of the best communities for young people by America’s Promise Alliance. The 100 Best Communities for Young People is awarded to “cities nationwide that have made the well-being of children and youth a priority.” This past Tuesday an awards celebration held at the Woodward Career Technical High School featured a inflatable sculpture commissioned by The Strive Partnership to commemorate the achievement. UP, a 14 foot inflatable of multicolored arrows symbolizing the upward mobility of youth was built by Cleveland based artist and Arthopper.org co-founder, Jimmy Kuehnle. The inflatable sculpture will be on view at a series of community engagement efforts.
