Art opening at the Art Spot in the Cleveland Heights Wine Spot

Opening night of Uncorked at the Art Spot

What happens when an artist and entrepreneur sit down to play a poker game? If the artist and entrepreneur are Tommy White and Adam Fleischer then the outcome is a new retail wine store with a student-run art gallery inside. The Wine Spot and the Art Spot held a joint grand opening on Friday, December 16 from 6-9 pm. The show exhibited works by Cleveland Institute of Art Students and the Wine Spot featured tastings of selections from small independent wineries and craft beers. Juried by Nick Gulan, the show included paintings, illustrations, sculpture, and drawings from 20 CIA students. Wine and art enthusiasts filled the store enjoying wine, art and community pride. The Wine Spot and Art Spot are located at 2271 Lee Road in Cleveland Heights. Quarterly art exhibitions are planned. This exhibition runs through February 2, 2012.
